WE DO NOT INHERIT THE LAND

WE BORROW IT FROM OUR CHILDREN

THE TERRE DEL FAVONIO FARM:
SUN, SEA, LAND, SALT, SKY, WIND, PASSION, SWEAT, SMILES, AND HEARTS AND HANDS TOGETHER
Respect for nature and for the territory, dedication to working the land,
and devotion to the farm and its
agricultural production are the soul of Terre del Favonio.
THE FRUITS OF OUR LAND
Our olive trees look towards the horizon over the sea; 2,500 trees of the typical cultivars of the Trapani area: Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara. We harvest the olives early, by hand, and transport them in small boxes to the company press, where we process them within a few hours. These procedures allow us to obtain top quality oil, which preserves all the fragrances and aromas of our land.
Our arable land is given over to cultivating some ancient varieties of Sicilian durum wheat – Tumminia, Perciasacchi, Russello, and Bidì – with which we produce flour and our wholemeal Busiate, traditional pasta of the Trapani area.
Our vineyard by the sea has 82 rows of native vines: Grillo, Cataratto and Frappato.
In the cellar we take our cue from what the grapes tell us to do; fermentation is natural, using homegrown yeasts.
The wines thus spontaneously express the territory from which they spring.
Vines for table grapes, fig trees, and almond trees have been planted in the terraces between the old carob trees and olive trees.
Our kitchen garden produces a great variety of vegetables and fruit; tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, courgettes, red onions, potatoes, lettuce, beans, yellow melons, watermelons, figs, prickly pears, and grapes.
IT IS WITH GREAT JOY AND SATISFACTION THAT WE SHARE OUR PRODUCTS WITH THE GUESTS OF THE
DIMORA, THE FRUIT OF THE PASSION AND THE LOVE THAT WE HAVE FOR OUR LAND.
